Newz88 Special: Pakistani actress Meera pregnant again? Sources say she had a secret abortion?

If rumours are to be believed, Pakistani actress Meera is pregnant again. The feisty actress who was supposed to be vying for Bigg Boss 6 has suddenly disappeared from the Bollywood scene. Says a source, “Meera was last seen in Mumbai during mid-September. She told a good friend in Mumbai that she was pregnant and was leaving India to have an abortion and terminate her pregnancy. Meera apparently left in a hurry the very next day and has not been in touch with some of her close friends. On Friday evening she messaged some of her friends saying she was well and that there was nothing to worry. Apparently, Meera first went to a south-Asian country probably Singapore where she had an abortion. She then proceeded to Pakistan and spent about two weeks there. She has now moved to Dubai where she resumed shooting for a Tv show.”

Meera was not available for comment, though we tried to contact her through various sources. Her manager and publicist in India Flynn Remedios too refused to speak to us on the issue.

Meera was born in Gulberg which is part of Lahore, Pakistan. She is the grand-daughter of Manzoor Hussain Shah. Her mother’s name is Syeda Shafqat Zahra and she has four siblings – two brothers and two sisters. Her mother was a teacher and an educationalist. She is commonly referred to as the Madhuri Dixit of Pakistan because of her close resemblance to the Indian Bollywood actress. 

A drama queen to the core, Meera not too long ago is reported to have filed a complaint, accusing unidentified men of stealing her German Shepherd called Sherdil from the Defence area of Lahore. Apparently, Meera’s brother Ahsan who registered the complaint on her behalf at a local police station in Lahore said, the dog was taken away from outside their residence. 

Surprisingly, the complaint states the dog was valued at Rs 3 lakh as it has also worked in a television drama series and is an asset to Meera’s family. Prior to that, Meera had also announced that someone stole 10,000 dollars from her purse, while she was attending a fashion show in Lahore. In Mumbai too, Meera is known for her publicity stunts and other gimmicks like landing up at director Mahesh Bhatt’s door at 3 am in a completely disheveled state. 

Her apparent divorce and marriage have also kept her in the news from time to time. Meera was supposed to be engaged to Naveed Shahazad and was scheduled to get married to him in July this year. Later, she announced that her marriage was called off due to family interference. Meera was also in the news for some hot, steamy bikini photographs which showed her in various compromising positions with a male actor. Meera later on claimed the photos were fake and forged. A raunchy sex clip or MMS with a female very closely resembling Meera has also been doing the rounds on the internet for some time now. 

A Pakistani individual also filed a case against Meera for allegedly having an abortion. His petition claimed that since the actress claimed to be a virgin, her act of having an abortion was “illegal and un-Islamic.” Then there were allegations of an illicit relationship according to the stringent Islamic Pakistani laws governing marriage and “live-in” relationships. A  Pakistani businessman Atiqur Rehman, who claims to be Meera’s husband, had filed a petition in a local court over Meera’s plans to marry Pakistani American pilot Naveed Shahzad.  Atiqur Rehman had alleged that Meera was still married to him and could not re-marry.

The latest rumours on the television grapevine claim that Pakistani actress Meera may make an appearance on the popular reality show on Colors, Bigg Boss Season 6. Apparently, Meera who is currently in Pakistan was unavailable for comment, but sources said that Meera was approached by production house Endemol which manages the artistes for the reality show. Meera’s manager and publicist Flynn Remedios too was unavailable for comment about her possible participation in the show.
